Hi, I’m Amanda, the artist behind The Cutting Room Fleur.

 

This journey began quietly, as many meaningful things do. What started as a simple hobby slowly grew into something deeper during a season when I needed creativity to feel like an anchor. I purchased a small flower preserving kit out of curiosity, never imagining how much peace it would bring.

 

Pressing flowers became a way to slow down and breathe again. To work with my hands. To focus on small details when the world felt overwhelming. There is something powerful about preserving what is fleeting and turning it into something that lasts.

 

My art is ever evolving, just as I am. Each piece reflects where I am in that moment, shaped by growth, healing, motherhood, and the beautiful chaos of everyday life. I create in the in-between moments, often surrounded by love, noise, stillness, and change.

 

Every flower is real and arranged intuitively rather than planned. I allow the blooms to guide the design, trusting their natural imperfections and quiet beauty. No two pieces are ever the same, and that is something I cherish.

 

My hope is that my work offers a sense of calm, comfort, or connection. A gentle reminder to pause. To notice beauty. To honor the seasons we move through, even the tender ones.
